About Us
UTTARPARA, WEST BENGAL - High above the din of Grand Trunk Road, perched atop Regent Star Mall, 8/11 Lounge emerges not just as a dining destination but as an immersive sensory escape. A heady blend of bold flavors, vibrant décor, and atmospheric live music, this sophisticated new haunt in Uttarpara defies easy categorization - it is equal parts gastropub, cultural salon, and culinary theatre.
Walk past the bustling Vishal Mega Mart below, ascend and you'll find yourself in a space that pulses with life. The ambiance strikes a fine balance between opulence and comfort: amber-hued lighting glows against walls adorned with textured motifs, while the open kitchen reveals its secrets in real time — a silent symphony of flames, aromas, and swift, practiced hands. A steady stream of mocktails, hookahs, and harmonies from live musicians completes the tapestry of indulgence.
From lunch through late night (12 p.m. to 11 p.m.), the menu unfolds like a pan-Indian poem - vivid, spicy, and soulful. With a modest price range of ₹400 to 1,000, it remains accessible without compromising on finesse.
Highlights From the Menu
At the heart of 8/11 Lounge is a culinary philosophy grounded in nostalgia, elevated by modern technique. "We envisioned a space where tradition and innovation collide - where every dish carries a piece of India, but also tells a new story," says the head chef, whose anonymous artistry is matched only by the generosity of his plates
Mutton Rogan Josh
A slow-braised Kashmiri treasure, this rendition balances the creamy tang of curd and tomato with the subtle heat of Kashmiri chili powder. Rose petals and whole spices cardamom, bay leaf, clove, mace - whisper complexity, while a final touch of mustard oil offers a rustic, smoky flourish.
Paneer Lababdar
Paneer tikka cubes are bathed in a lush, spice-layered tomato base, laced with cumin, coriander, capsicum, and garam masala. The sweetness of sautéed onion meets a hint of sugar, resulting in a dish that feels at once regal and deeply comforting.
Mutton Nihari
A celebration of slowness, this stew simmers for hours, letting the nihari masala, cumin, and tomato purée work their magic. The result: fall-apart meat in a silky, spice-drenched broth that clings lovingly to each grain of rice or naan.
Highlights From the Menu
Galauti Kebab
True to its Lucknowi heritage, this kebab disintegrates at the mere suggestion of a fork. Rich with rose water, browned onion, ghee, and galauti masala, it's a one-bite epiphany - equal parts silk and spice, memory and magic.
Gandharaj Fish Tikka
Fish filets marinated in a delicate emulsion of hung curd, cream, cheese, and crushed cashew are gently grilled and infused with Gandharaj lemon zest, lemongrass, and lemon leaves. Bright, tangy, and elegantly understated - this is Bengal refracted through a global lens.
Chapli Kebab
In this Afghan-Punjabi fusion, chicken keema is punched up with green chili, coriander leaf,  caramelized onion, and a nuanced blend of spices. What elevates it is the perfume of kewra and mitha attara subtle nod to Mughal extravagance.
Highlights From the Menu
Iranian kabab
Classic turnover of chelo kabab, amalgamation of rice, kabab, poached egg , fries & salad.
Caesar salad
Twist with pan grilled chicken, fried egg, Hydrophonic lettuce & classic mayo dressing with Parmesan cheese & olive.
